On the day of November 25, 2011 we celebrated the 10TH year Anniversary of STEC. Teachers and students got very busy in preparing for that morning's activities.
The celebration started with a mass conducted at the quadrangle. It is for thanking the Lord for giving us the blessing of 10 successful years of STEC.
After the mass, the parade started. On the lead was the band followed by the Grade 6 Archimedes pupils which was followed by the Grade 6 Aristotle pupils and so on. Each section had their own banner held by the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of the Philippines of each section.
The parade passed SPED Center, Agusan National High School, Manuel J. Santos Hospital, Urios to the Plaza and Police Station back to the BCES Stage for the cake formation.
At that time the cake formation was still led by the Grade 6 Archimedes pupils followed by the Grade 6 Aristotle pupils and so on. The cake was made out of the cans that was designed by each section of STEC. Each can was unique due to the creativity of each section and the cooperation of each pupil in helping design each one.
When the cake formation was finished everybody was happy with the result. It truly was an environment friendly activity. After that teachers and students ate their lunch.
In the afternoon, teachers and students got very busy in preparing for the program at night. Many students applied face paints while waiting for the program to start while the dancers got busy preparing for their performance.
At last the time has come! Music filled the quadrangle and many alumni, guests and special people like Vice Mayor Lawrence Fortun came.
They started the program with a grand opening performance by the STEC dancers together with
the 1st Runner up in United Nations Contest. The grand opening truly took everyone's attention that built up their anticipation.
After that there was a video that was
prepared by STEC's very own teachers. After watching the video, there was a dance prepared by the parents. Then, a dance was prepared by the STEC pupils before.There was also an interpretive dance by the 1st Runner up in UN.
The 10th Year Anniversary of STEC was truly an event to be remembered. It was truly an honor for us STEC pupils to be there each step of the way. It is our honor to help that program be successful and we wish that the STEC program will continue to have successful years to come.
